Teams of the Red Cross and the military wing of Hamas, the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades, initiated the search for the remains of an Israeli hostage in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The Arab media reported it, including Quds News, affiliated to Hamas. The Jabalia refugee camp is largely located on the side of the ceasefire line in Gaza controlled by Hamas. ISRAELE “ENTRO FINE ANNO IDF AVRANNO IN DOTAZIONE SISTEMA LASER IRON BEAM”

The first Iron Beam laser interceptor system produced by Israeli company Rafael will be delivered to the Israeli Defense Forces (Idf) on December 30. This was announced by General Dani Gold, head of the Israeli Defense Research and Development Directorate (Mafat) at the Defense Tech Summit. “We are deeply committed today on the next generations of surprises for the next war: in space, in attack and in defense.” The Director-General of the Defense Ministry, Major General Amir Eshel, added: “The defence industries are committed to the development of the next generations of innovative technologies for a future confrontation with Iran.” Iron Beam is a low-cost, high-power laser system designed to destroy incoming missiles.

This system, which is added to other anti-aircraft defence media already used by Israel – Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow – should allow the army to intercept drones more effectively. The Iron Beam is a laser air defense system that operates against a variety of aerial threats such as rockets, mortar bombs, pilotless air vehicles, cruise missiles. It can be programmed to follow low-quota targets, hitting them with just enough energy to turn them off. According to the ministry, this system could be installed on board small civil aircraft to hit any flying object, such as “ drones, bullets, rockets, ballistic missiles.”.
