On their home floor, the Heat overcame the Dallas Mavericks 123-118 after an overtime, thus stopping their streak of consecutive wins at four. Butler, author of the dunk that brought the match to the extension, scored 33 points and finished on the scoreboard as a top-scorer. Still without Embiid and George, the Philadelphia 76ers succumbed on their friendly court to the Los Angeles Clippers, who won the match 125-99 with 23 points from Harden and 18 from Jones. Outside blow also for the Brooklyn Nets, who folded the Sacramento Kings 108-103 exploiting the ‘hot hand’ of Thomas, author of 34 points.
