ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The National Assembly of Anso – National Association of Press Online, gathered in Milan, today elected Michele Pinto new president of the association. The term will last three years.
Pinto succeeds Marco Giovannelli, who has led Anso over the last nine years, for three consecutive terms. “A long period in which the association has grown, has structured and has reached important results for the local digital publishing sector, including the subscription of the ANSO-FISC journalistic work contract”, reads in a note.
“ANSO arrives at this strong passage of the work done in recent years – said Michele Pinto -. The chairmanship of Marco Giovannelli and the work of the outgoing management have built solid foundations. My commitment will be to continue on this path, facing a new phase of growth and challenges for local publishing online”.
Founded in 2003, ANSO brings together publishers of local digital newspapers that, since the association was founded, have represented a new form of information: rooted in the territories, independent and able to innovate languages and organizational models. “In a deeply changed context, marked by the evolution of information consumption and the impact of social media, ANSO publishers continued to adapt and innovate, keeping the value of quality local information central,” continues the note.
“The publishing lives a complex phase, but the information remains essential – Pinto added. ANSO must continue to provide publishers with concrete tools to grow and strengthen. Solider publishers also mean more stable and serene working conditions for those who make information every day.”.
The new Board of Directors of Anso consists of Giacomo Di Girolamo (Tp24 – Marsala), vice president; Nathalie Grange (Aostasera); Andrea Garantola (Open); Daniele Reali (Il Giunco – Grosseto); Andrea Chiovelli (IVG – Savona); Manuel Sgarella (VareseNews).
