Migrants, for 45% Italians the judiciary acts against the government

ROME (ITALPRESS) – There are issues that have always animated the Italian political scene. These certainly include justice and immigration. In recent weeks, these two topics have become intertwined following a number of Italian court rulings that suspended the transfers of several migrants to the Albanian center of Gjader. A decision that was not shared by the majority of the Italian population. Moreover, almost 1 in 2 citizens (45.5%) believe that these decisions of the Judiciary are implemented voluntarily to act against the incumbent government and, therefore, with a purely political intent. In this respect, the electorate is sharply divided between voters of the majority parties who believe it was, indeed, a political action and those of the opposition who, on the other hand, are sure it was a legal action in compliance with the laws. In conclusion, considering this scenario and the context of these facts, slightly less than half of the Italian population believes that an appeal to the Supreme Court by the government against these judgments rejecting the transfers of some migrants to the treatment and detention centers in Albania is right.
