Migrants, Meloni “With Starmer goal to fight human being trafficking”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Strengthening our relationship can be decisive in ensuring security and prosperity for our peoples. Oggia we adopted a joint declaration, an extremely important document, it contains very concrete insights.” This was said by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the end of her meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. “There is an ongoing dialogue on foreign policy and defense, on energy, science, innovation, security and the fight against crime, combating mass immigration: this is a phenomenon that affects all of Europe, we agree that the first thing to do is to intensify the fight against human trafficking and to do it by joining more efforts, working on greater cooperation and targeting the heart of this trafficking,” she added. “We agree not to be afraid to explore new solutions. We talked about the protocol between Italy and Albania, which is a solution for which the government of Britain shows a lot of attention, an innovation brought by the Italian government in the policy of governing migration flows,” Meloni concluded.
