MILANO (ITALPRESS) – To celebrate the Olympic medals won by the athletes and Italian athletes at the Milan Olympic Games Cortina 2026 Vespa Club of Italy from today, Thursday 19 February until 5 March, dedicates an exhibition to the Vespa at the headquarters of Automobile Club Milano, in Corso Venezia 43. The exhibition is open from 8:30 to 17 from Monday to Friday and Saturday from 9 to noon. Vespas and Olympic Games share the spirit of “Citius, Altius, Fortius” (faster, higher, stronger).
In its long history, the scooter Piaggio collected speed records in 1951, surpassed the 20 million specimens produced and exceeded eighty years of commercial challenges. The exhibition traces the connection between Vespa and Olympics through iconic models and memorabilia.
An original 1960 Vespa, among those assigned to the athletes of the Olympic Village of Rome, accompanied by photos of samples such as Nino Benvenuto and Livio Berruti. The model of 1956 with the skis followed, to remember the Winter Olympics of Cortina The Vespa of the traveler Roberto Patrignani, who in 1964 departed from Milan to reach Tokyo in view of the Japanese Games, giving to the organizing committee a letter of the CIO of Rome.
The exhibition is not lacking the call to the sports successes on two wheels: the Vespa triumphed at the Six Days of Varese in 1951, conquering nine Golden Medals in the final stage at the Monza National Circuit.
