Mulè “Matteo Pietrosanti’s family has a right to the truth”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “The Latina gip’s decision not to grant the prosecutor’s request to dismiss the case and instead order new investigations into the case of Matteo Pietrosanti’s death, as urged by his family members, contributes to the effort to get to the truth of the matter by sweeping away all doubts. Matteo died when he was only 15 years old following a cardiovascular attack that occurred while he was training on a soccer field. The question, a tragic one, is whether the defibrillator compulsory thanks to the law I inspired was on the sidelines and whether those who were supposed to rescue Matteo used it in due time. To these questions the family has the right to get answers.” Thus in a note Chamber Vice President Giorgio Mulè.

“That’s why I stand by the Pietrosanti family, which meritoriously after Matteo’s death is dedicated to spreading the culture of defibrillator prevention,” he continued. “On Matteo’s case I urged the Ministry of Justice with a question for immediate answer so that the judicial process would get out of the limbo in which it was. Today the news of new investigations ordered by the gip to which answers must be given within the next two months goes in this direction.”
