PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – “Italy really needs a judge who is third and impartial: This figure will remain autonomous and independent, because the reform does not affect autonomy and independence in any way.” The Vice-President of the Chamber Giorgio Mulè underlines this at the margin of the conference ‘Vota yes. For justice, held at Astoria Palace Hotel in Palermo.
“We will have a just justice, fair and that will make many less mistakes – continues Mulè, – every day in Italy there are two cases of unjust detention, with a public ministry that is no longer the dominus of the trial and a truly free judge we will finally have a right justice. From the population we expect to listen: we want to explain our reasons and convince people, because justice concerns each of us. Anyone can end up in what for many is a meat grinder: This reform solves the problem of the court’s tertiage and impartiality. Talking about judiciary subjected to politics with yes to the referendum is one of the greatest lies that can be told: the reform does not affect the independence of the judiciary in any way, on the contrary it maintains Article 104 of the Constitution; autonomy and independence remain exactly as they are written, it is only done so that the judge is free, third and impartial.”.
