ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Waiting to return to the field on 26 March in Bergamo for the semi-final of the world play-offs with Northern Ireland, Thursday 12 February (at 18) in Brussels Italy will know the opponents of the group of the Nations League 2026/27. At the draw, scheduled at the Brussels Expo Hall 3 – headquartered in the morning of the 50th edition of the ordinary congress of UEFA – will be present the president of FIGC Gabriele Gravina, the general secretary Marco Brunelli and Leonardo Bonucci, assistant in National Ct Gennaro Gattuso.
The Azzurri, which in the past edition reached the quarterfinals, will also be engaged this year in League A and will be present at the draw in the second group in the company of Netherlands, Denmark and Croatia. The four series heads will be the champions of Portugal, Spain, France and Germany, with the sixteen nationals to the starting strips that will form four rounds of four teams: each national will play six races, three at home and three away, with the other three opponents of the group.
The first two classifications will qualify for the quarterfinals, the fourth will be relegated to League B, while the third will play a play to remain in League A with one of League B’s second ranks. The group stage will kick off at the end of September 2026 to finish next November, quarterfinals and play-offs are scheduled in March 2027 while the final tournament stage will be held in June 2027.
