BURINAM (THAILAND) (ITALPRESS) – The MotoGP enters its final stages, making a stop in Thailand, in Buriram, for the third-last round of the season. So there is no time for riders to take a breather: after the Australian weekend, it’s straight back to the track after just four days. Certainly the topic of greatest interest on the lips of fans can only be the gripping title fight between Bagnaia and Martin. During the last round, the Spaniard managed to expand his lead in the standings to twenty points. Despite the slight delay, Bagnaia appeared very calm in the eve press conference, pointing out that with the presence of the Sprints, there are more opportunities to gain or lose points. “The Chang track on paper should be more favorable to me than to Martin. My approach to the weekend does not change as well as the way I feel the pressure. I need to do a little bit more to shorten on Jorge,” recounted the rider from Chivasso. Less subject, on the other hand, to journalists’ questions Jorge Martin, who spoke thus about the upcoming weekend: “I feel confident here in Thailand, although I know that Bagnaia and Marquez will make life hard for me. I am proud to be first in the championship.” Ample space was also given to Marc Marquez, fresh winner at Phillip Island. On several occasions, the eight-time world champion reiterated that he has now achieved his seasonal goals and has begun working towards 2025. “I know where I need to improve, although I have been very consistent in the last few races. I’m sure Jorge and Pecco will raise the bar as usual. I will try to fight for the podium,” Marquez said. Finally, reporters asked the riders for their opinion on Iannone’s likely return to MotoGP. It is almost certain, in fact, that it will be the ’89 class that will replace Di Giannantonio for the last two races. Iannone has not raced in the premier class since 2016, as he was suspended after the doping affair: this season he has raced in Superbike for Ducati.Bagnaia, Martin and Marquez did not hide their curiosity to see Iannone again in the context of a MotoGP that has evolved over the years. Less happy, on the other hand, was Fabio Di Giannantonio, who was disappointed not to be able to finish the season riding Team Vr46’s Ducati: “I feel a mix of emotions, but I’m still motivated for this race. For sure, I am not happy to see another rider on my bike that is worth my life to me.” After the grand prix, the Roman rider will return to Italy to undergo surgery on his left shoulder.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
