TURIN (ITALPRESS) – The last leg of the roadshow that saw the New Lancia Ypsilon parade through the streets of Italy’s major cities also concluded, a month in which it was the protagonist in the most evocative places in Turin, Milan, Rome and Naples. The fleet, composed of 10 hybrid and electric cars, after returning to Milan, finally returned to the Piedmontese capital, where Vincenzo Lancia founded his company back in 1906. After all, more than a century of history lives on in the latest creation of Lancia’s Centro Stile, based in Turin, where the New Ypsilon was designed, developed and styled.
“Concluding the New Lancia Ypsilon roadshow in the city of Turin was a moment of great emotion and significance for us. It is from here, from this city rich in history and tradition, that everything began 118 years ago. Turin is and will forever remain our home, here are the Style Center, where our ideas come to life, and the headquarters offices that guide our path into the future. Bringing the New Ypsilon back to the streets of this city, after a journey that has seen it starring all over Italy, was our way of paying homage to our roots and the deep bond that unites us to this land of Italian “savoir-faire” excellence,” said Luca Napolitano, CEO of the Lancia brand.
After departing from Turin in mid-November, the new model returned to enliven the streets and squares of the capital on Dec. 18, 19 and 20, immersed in the country’s chicest living room, among the wide tree-lined boulevards of the center, the ancient and stately streets of the Quadrilatero, surrounded by monumental buildings, and the two most representative squares of Italy’s first capital, Piazza San Carlo and Piazza Vittorio. The roadshow also extolled the winning features of the New Ypsilon, which is easy to handle and suitable for all types of travel. The skies of Turin enthusiastically observed its return home, illuminated by the lights of a city preparing to celebrate Christmas.
