TURIN (ITALPRESS) – A month and thousands of miles later, the roadshow with which the New Lancia Ypsilon has thrilled the entire Boot has come to an end. Departing from Turin in mid-November, the latest model created by the Lancia Style Center has crossed the country from North to South, round trip. From Piedmont to Lombardy, from Lazio to Campania: in that order, the first car of Lancia’s new era plowed the most famous streets of Turin, Milan, Rome and Naples, parading in the most significant places of Italy’s major cities. The starting ribbon could only be the capital of Savoy, where Lancia has its roots. It was 1906 when Vincenzo Lancia founded the eponymous car manufacturer, ushering in 118 years of elegance and innovation, always serving the people. The fleet of ten Ypsilons danced under the Christmas lights of Via Po and the Quadrilatero, passing through Piazza Castello, Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Piazza San Carlo, the “living room of Turin.”
The New Ypsilon then made a stop in Milan. What better catwalk than the city of fashion and glamour with the prestigious Via Montenapoleone? In the place where the world’s most renowned Italian brands meet, symbols of Italian elegance and craftsmanship, such as Gucci, Prada, Armani and Versace, the new model showed off all its splendor, combining tradition and innovation, the fundamental values of Made in Italy. From Milan to Rome, the New Ypsilon enraptured and bewitched the tourists and inhabitants of the Eternal City, the tricolor heart of the Belpaese, embarking on a journey up and down the Roman hills and passing through some of the most iconic places of the Urbe: from the Circus Maximus to the Colosseum, from the Spanish Steps to the Trevi Fountain, and on to Piazza Navona. Before returning home, the tour also touched on Naples. Synonymous with warmth and cheerfulness, the Ypsilon skirted the Neapolitan seafront, also visiting Castel dell’Ovo, Piazza del Plebiscito, the Maschio Angioino, via Toledo and the neighborhoods of Chiaia and Vomero, within a breathtaking setting, divided in half between the crystal clear sea and Vesuvius, which, from the height of its 1,281 meters, silently observes Partenope in all its splendor.
Finally, the Ypsilon fleet returned north, first to Milan and then to Turin, on December 17 and 18. A month marked by the elegance of an exclusive Italian brand that was born over a century ago and is now ready to write another chapter in its legendary history.
“The roadshow of the new Lancia Ypsilon was a beautiful journey into the heart of our Italy. This roadshow allowed us to show the public not only the timeless design and technological innovation of the new Ypsilon, but also to celebrate the style and elegance that have always distinguished Lancia. The response from the public was fantastic: thousands of people participated in the events organized at the different stops, showing great interest and a deep connection with our brand. However, the local activities carried out by the dealers continue. So there will be no shortage of opportunities to be with the New Ypsilon,” commented Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia.
