ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A new era, but in close continuity with the past. The Italian Canoa Kayak Federation changes the logo and visual identity, presenting its evolution to the Coni, where the president Antonio Rossi wanted to emphasize that “the path that started from far away, and that has had a fundamental stage when the guide was Luciano Buonfiglio”, number one of Federcanoa until June last, before becoming president of the Coni. Returning to the logo, the most important change concerns the subject. The protagonist of the new logo is the element that unites all federal disciplines: the paddle. The choice to place the symbol that unites the entire movement follows the path already traced by international federations. “This logo is an evolution of ourselves, a symbol that will accompany us towards the future but without forgetting our roots, our past and our history – said Rossi -. We turn on page but the book is the same, it is what tells us, our sport, our successes. Only so, with the solid foundations of our history, we can face the new challenges of the future, because we must always look ahead with new ambitions and new hopes.”.
For Buonfiglio the presentation of the new identity is “an important moment, because I had so much from Fick. This logo represents what a Federation has to do: to give equal dignity to all disciplines, to pay attention to societies, to bring out the merit and to be protagonists of those values that we daily demand from athletes”. Also present the number one of the Cip, Marco June De Sanctis: “The Federcanoa has done a great job with the paracanoa – he said -. Paralympic is a world that is constantly evolving, so many years ago we could not have done what we are doing.” Not just the new logo. In the course of the event at the Salone d’Onore del Coni the calendar 2026 was illustrated, with three great appointments in Italy: the stage of the World Cup of descent in Mezzana, the European slalom in Ivrea and, in October, the World Cup Sup in Sabaudia.
