ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The new EQS, the first 100% electric sedan of the star, is now completely renewed with over a quarter of the components completely redesigned, updated and refined. Already neat in Italy, the new EQS evolves its offer strategy from a single set up to a range articulated through three versions – Advanced, Advanced Plus and Premium – with a new motorization that makes the entry price even more interesting. The list of the new electric flagship of the Stella starts, in fact, from 97.402 euros for the EQS 400 Advanced. The heart of the new EQS consists of a new generation electric platform. This includes 800 volt technology, new traction systems developed internally, a two-speed gearbox on the main rear axle, as well as higher capacity batteries with optimized cell chemistry. The introduction of the Mercedes-Benz operating system (MB.OS), which transforms the EQS into an even smarter companion, able to understand, anticipate and evolve together with the driver. MB.OS integrates and manages every aspect of the vehicle. This supercomputer uses artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance chips and is connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud. The innovative elements of the interior create an unmistakable feeling of comfort and hospitality – the typical “Welcome home” of the brand. The new heating of the front seat belts guarantees a pleasant warmth on cold days, while the finishes in poplar open anthracite color and the iconic “laurel” stitching in the beige and space grey hues recall the Mercedes-Benz emblem, strengthening the feeling of always getting to the destination. One of the most significant innovations of the new EQS is the steer-by-wire system. Mercedes-Benz is the first German automotive manufacturer to bring this technology into serial production, demonstrating once again how 140 years of innovation continue to trace the way to the future of the car.
