ROME (ITALPRESS) – Nissan Motor announces top management changes effective Jan. 1, 2025. The appointments aim to respond quickly to current challenges by restructuring management following the appointment of the Chief Performance Officer (CPO) effective Dec. 1. In April 2025, Nissan will make further management changes to create a lean and agile organization that can respond quickly to changes in the market environment.Stephen Ma, currently Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is appointed Chairperson of the Management Committee for China. In his new role, Ma will continue to report to Makoto Uchida, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and with his extensive experience and knowledge of China and his background in top management, he will focus on setting the future strategy for the Region and improving local operations. Jeremie Papin, currently Chairperson of the Management Committee for the Americas, is appointed CFO and will report to CEO Uchida in the new role. Prior to his current position, Papin gained solid experience in finance, strategy and business development within Nissan and the Alliance. Papin also worked for more than 10 years in investment banking, focusing on the automotive sector. Christian Meunier joins Nissan and is appointed Chairperson of the Management Committee for the Americas and in the new role will report to Guillaume Cartier, Chief Performance Officer (CPO). Most recently, Meunier was CEO of Jeep and is a member of the Executive Committee of Stellantis. Meunier returns to Nissan with a wealth of experience in marketing and sales from his previous leadership roles at Nissan USA, Canada, Brazil, and Infiniti globally. Asako Hoshino, currently Chief Brand & Customer Officer (CBCO) and Chairperson of the Management Committee for Japan/Asean, will leave her role as supervisor of operations in Japan/Asean. Hoshino will continue in the role of CBCO, where he will focus on improving brand value and customer experience. His efforts will be key to ensuring that customer engagement and satisfaction is a lever to strengthen Nissan’s market presence. Shohei Yamazaki, currently Chairperson of the Management Committee for China, is appointed Chairperson of the Management Committee for Japan/Asean. His experience in the highly competitive Chinese market will provide valuable input into the new role to further strengthen Nissan’s presence in the Region.
