ROME (ITALPRESS) – Nissan is celebrating International Women’s Day by expanding its commitment to gender equality and strengthening its sphere of action for an increasingly equitable and inclusive workplace.
This year’s theme, #AccelerateAction, proposes increasingly proactive change, consisting of concrete actions built every day. This commitment has grown in recent years with the launch in 2002 of the Nissan DE&I Program to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and solidify the company’s position as a welcoming and respectful place for all. The program, which has involved all members of the organization in various capacities, accelerated in 2024 (#AccelerateAction) with the establishment of a DE&I Committee, the definition of the Gender Equality Policy, and the implementation of a dedicated Management System.
The DE&I Steering Committee strengthens policies and practices that promote inclusion, from personnel selection to professional growth to work-life balance. Nissan proves to be a modern reality for the development and professional growth of women, being today among the most virtuous automakers with 37% female presence in its workforce, 6 women holding managerial roles, including 3 on the Executive Board. And on International Women’s Day, Nissan Italy launches a communication campaign centered precisely on gender equality with two slogans that are simple and evocative at the same time: S-delete the gap-HE and we-POWHER.
