YAS MARINA (EMIRATES ARABIA) (ITALPRESS) – Lando Norris won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, dominating the race at Yas Marina and thus sealing McLaren’s win of the constructors’ title. Nothing to do for Ferrari, although the author of a great comeback with Charles Leclerc, who started nineteenth and managed to finish third, preceded by his teammate, Carlos Sainz, in his last appearance at the wheel of the Rossa and still on the podium after the one won in Las Vegas. Only tenth was the other McLaren of Oscar Piastri, conditioned by the accident at the start with Max Verstappen’s Red Bull – sixth at the checkered flag – and by the ten-second penalty – imposed on both the Australian and the Dutchman -, gaining a point nevertheless useful in preserving the twenty-one-point lead that divided the British team from Ferrari. Fourth and fifth place, on the other hand, went to Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, respectively, with the seven-time world champion bidding farewell after twelve years at the Silver Arrows, before coming right to Ferrari from next season. Seventh is the Alpine of Pierre Gasly, which allows the French team to take sixth place in the constructors’ standings, ahead of Haas, with Nico Hulkenberg finishing eighth, while it is Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin’s ninth place at the close of the Grand Prix.- Photo: Ipa Agency – (ITALPRESS).
