SAN PAOLO (BRAZIL) (ITALPRESS) – Lando Norris wins the Sprint Race of the Brazilian Grand Prix, making the most of teamwork with teammate Oscar Piastri, who started from pole position but was generous in yielding the position to the Briton to allow him to gain an extra point over Max Verstappen in the drivers’ standings. A McLaren one-two and third place ending up at the Ferrari of Monegasque Charles Leclerc, who benefits from the 5″ penalty imposed on Max Verstappen’s RedBull for breaking the delta under Virtual Safety Car in an attempt to overtake Piastri. The Dutch world champion thus slips to fourth place ahead of the other Rossa of Carlos Sainz, who could not keep up with the pace of the top four but did his best to maintain his starting position. Sixth was the Mercedes of George Russell, followed by the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and the Haas of Oliver Bearman, rounding out the top eight drivers in points in the Sprint Race. – Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
