MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Sergio Conceicao is the new coach of AC Milan. This was announced by the Rossoneri club in a statement. The Portuguese former Porto coach, who takes over from the exonerated Paulo Fonseca, has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract until June 30, 2026. “Milan extends a warm welcome to Sergio and his staff, wishing him an experience full of success and satisfaction,” the Lombard club added in the statement. The former Lazio winger, born in 1974, will make his debut on the Diavolo’s bench on Friday, Jan. 3, in Riyadh, in the Italian Super Cup semifinal against Juventus, a team in which his son Francisco, owned by Porto, plays. In the league, Conceicao will have the task of boosting the morale of an AC Milan side that, fresh from yesterday’s draw at San Siro with Roma, occupies the eighth position in the standings with 27 points collected in 17 matches played.
