ROME (ITALPRESS) – All that was missing was the officialdom, now it’s here: Claudio Ranieri is Roma’s new head coach. So says A.S. Roma in a note posted on its website. At the end of the season, Ranieri will assume a senior managerial role: he will be an adviser to the ownership for all sporting matters of the club. “The search for a new coach will continue in the coming months and Claudio will have a say in this decision as well,” the Giallorossi club announced. “Roman by birth, a lifelong Romanista, having worn the Giallorossi jersey as a player in the 1973-74 season and having served as coach at two different times (from 2009 to 2011 and in 2019), represents a symbol of the Club’s values and is one of the most appreciated Roman sportsmen in the world,” the statement reads. “Ranieri brings with him his enormous wealth of knowledge and experience gained between Serie A, Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1, guiding the best top clubs in Europe and winning historic titles, such as the one he achieved at the helm of Leicester in 2016. The Club wishes the coach all the best in this new chapter of his exciting career, certain that he will represent an added value for the Team and for the whole AS Roma. Forza Roma and welcome home Mister!” Ranieri, who takes over from the exonerated Juric, is in his third experience as coach in Trigoria: he will make his league debut after the national team break in the ‘MaradonĂ big match against Napoli.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
