NEW YORK (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – Champions who have written history and franchises that continue to march on apace. Six games into the Nba night and yet another win for Oklahoma, which beat the Clippers 116-98 in front of its home crowd and leads the Western Conference without wavering. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander puts up 29 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds, Jalen Williams (18), Isaiah Hartenstein (11) and, off the bench, Ajay Mitchell (11) go in double figures. The Clippers responded with Amir Coffey’s 26, while Ivan Zubac and Mo Bamba came close to a double-double, finishing with 11 points and 9 rebounds the former and 12 and 8, respectively.
The defending champions also won. Boston, in fact, passes on the Timberwolves’ parquet imposing 118-115, with the usual Jayson Tatum in the role of the dragging player: for him 33 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Derrick White (26 points) also did well, and the Celtics won a match in which Minnesota put everything on the court, with Julius Randle (27 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists) and Jaden McDaniels (19 points and 8 rebounds) on the shields and Naz Reid making 20 off the bench.
In playoff terms, important success for the Lakers who beat the Blazers 114-106 with a great LeBron James. The 40-year-old is dominant with his 38 points (also 3 rebounds and 8 assists for him, but most importantly game number 562 with a ’30’ that allows him to join Michael Jordan), then there are also Max Christie’s 28 and Austin Reaves’ 15-point, 11-assist double-double. Portland kept itself in the game by bringing five into double figures with Anfernee Simons’ 23 points (23 points), Deni Avdija’s 19 apiece (also 10 rebounds for him) and Shaedon Sharpe, Toumani Camara’s 18 and, off the bench, Scoot Henderson’s 12.
If Lebron dragged the Lakers, so did Steph Curry who led the Warriors to a clear home win against Philadelphia (139-105). For Golden State’s No. 30 100% shooting from three with 8 out of 8 successful attempts. In the end there were 30 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Everything works in the ‘Warriors’ ranks and the Sixers have no chance despite Joel Embiid’s 28-point, 14-rebound double-double.
In the other contests of the night victories for Indiana Pacers (128-115 against Miami with 33 points and 15 assists for Haliburton) and Brooklyn Nets (113-110 over the Bucks with 26 points for Johnson, while on the other side Antetokounmpo put up 27 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists, but it was not enough for Milwaukee to avoid the knockout).
