MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “With the Olympic Games of Milan-Cortina we also contribute to enrich the history of the Republic. And with this we also want to thank President Mattarella for his presence and closeness. It was an Olympiad of 30 and praise. Thirty are the medals and praise because everything worked”. The President of the Coni Luciano Buonfiglio declared this at the final conference at the end of the Milan-Cortina Olympics. “I am increasingly convinced that we have produced widespread enthusiasm thanks to an excellent organization of the Games, but above all thanks to the performance and medals of our athletes. It has been a continuous evolution of enthusiasm, we have shown our organizational capacity, our ability to make a sports system.”.

“Let’s take a step by step, an application for another Olympiad must be agreed and shared to begin with by the Government, regional institutions, the Councils and Health. It must be a team that has to carry out the project. Dreams must be made with open eyes, it is a path that hovers us”. So Buonfiglio talking about the possible future candidacy of Italy to host a next edition of the Games.
