On the new Mazda CX-5 Google integrated and advanced electronic architecture

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The new Mazda CX-5 opens a new chapter for the Japanese House, as the first model to introduce the Mazda E/E Architecture+ (Mazda EEA+), an advanced man-machine interface (HMI) with integrated Google, offering a modern, connected and completely redefined driving experience. These three elements work in perfect harmony to create a cabin that combines cutting-edge technology with an essential design, thought around the driver.

The Mazda E/E Architecture+ (EEA+) integrates vehicle electronic power stations, software levels, communication networks and external servers that support the digital functions of the car. This advanced platform is the basis of the new human-machine interface (HMI) and the connectivity capabilities of the new Mazda CX-5, allowing over-the-air updates (OTA) and the use of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), laying the foundations for Mazda’s future Software Defined Vehicles (SDV). The new HMI experience is designed to keep the driver always in full control, minimizing visual, manual and cognitive distractions. It reflects Mazda’s security philosophy, focusing on simplicity and ease of use in every interaction.

At the centre of a well-defined horizontal layout there is a new integrated touch display – available in 12.9 or 15.6 inch versions, with a customizable interaction in smartphone style. The main commands follow a security-oriented logic: physical buttons remain dedicated to essential functions, while the most used features are positioned up and always visible, reducing eye movements. All models are equipped with a 10.25 inch digital instrument panel and a larger head-up display than the past.

Capacitive controls on the steering wheel consolidate key functions such as 360-degree visual and Mi-Drive, while still allowing the traditional use of balance buttons. High-precision voice recognition also allows complete control without removing hands from the wheel. For the first time in a Mazda model, the brand new CX-5 debuts with Google integrated1, including Google Assistant and, later, Google Gemini update, Google’s AI assistant. This allows an intuitive and natural control of all essential functions while driving, from air conditioning regulation to search for destinations.

Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, the MyMazda app and the optional 12 speaker Bose audio system further enhance the driving experience. The integration of Mazda EEA+, HMI evolved with Google integrated is enhanced by the Japanese design principles of Mazda, with a cabin that offers a calm and airy atmosphere, enhanced by refined materials.

On the aesthetic front, the new CX-5 evolves Mazda’s Kodo design with a stronger presence and improved proportions, while under the hood mounts the 141 HP 2.5 e-Skyactiv G petrol engine with Mazda M Hybrid technology. Mazda has opened the pre-sale of the new CX-5, already orderable, with a price list starting from 35,900 euros and first deliveries planned for February 2026. Until the end of February, customers can enjoy two dedicated offers: Premiere Choice: benefits up to 3,000 euros in case of permutation for new customers, with reduced rate 3,99% and rate of 279 euros/month. Premiere Choice Plus: benefits up to 4,500 euros for loyal customers, with promotional rate 2.99% and rate from 259 euros/month.
