Only 41% of families can save, is the lowest figure since 2018

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In 2025 the psychological propensity to save is strengthened and anxiety grows from lack of savings, also because the actual ability to dispose is reduced: more households consume all income or draw on savings, the families they save are 41%, compared to 46% of 2024, the lowest figure since 2018.

And also the expectations for the next 12 months indicate further compression of the saving capacity. This is what emerges from the Acri investigation in collaboration with Ipsos and presented on the occasion of the celebration of the 101st World Saving Day organized by Acri who saw the presence, among others, of the president of Acre, Giovanni Azzone, of the president of Abi, Antonio Patuelli, the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Fabio Panetta, and the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti in video connection.

The day was opened with a message from the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who recalled “the high civic value” recognized by the Constitution. “The Charter prescribes the protection of a good of families; Therefore, of the national community and this protection expresses itself, first of all, in its safeguarding, action to which institutions and ordinations must look. Protecting savings – added the Head of State – means encouraging jobs that increase its value, creating conditions to act as a fundamental leverage of the economy.”.
