LAGALLA “PALERMO SI FERMA E SI UNISCE AL DOLORE”

“Palermo stops today, gathers and joins in pain. The tragedy that took place today in via Ruggero Marturano strikes deep into the entire Palermo community. Two workers have lost their lives while doing their work, in a context that should always be synonymous with dignity, safety and protection. Our most moving and respectful thought goes to them. On behalf of the city of Palermo I express the most sincere condolence to the families of the victims, to whom we hold affection and authentic participation at this moment of unculimable pain. I would also like to address a thought to the injured worker, currently admitted in serious condition: to him goes our strongest wish of prompt healing, along with the closeness to his family who are experiencing hours of anguish. It is not acceptable that you continue to die while working. Respect for life must always be the absolute priority. From this pain, an even stronger commitment must be born so that tragedies such as this never repeat again.” It declares the mayor of Palermo Roberto Lagalla
