To date, it is the only one in the premium compact category to also offer the Q4 all-wheel-drive variant with automated rear-wheel-drive axle management. This expands the Junior range, the richest in the segment, which allows the customer to freely choose between Full Electric or Hybrid engines and different versions: Junior to enjoy everyday sportiness, extreme performance with Junior Veloce, and with the new Q4 Hybrid for maximum safety and performance in all conditions especially in low grip. After all, all-wheel drive is an indispensable element for a premium brand like Alfa Romeo, and the Q4 intelligently guarantees it thanks to the Power Looping Technology system, which ensures all-wheel drive even at low battery levels.
Equipped with a 48V hybrid system, it combines a 145-hp 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with two 21 kW electric motors. In detail, the Junior Q4’s hybrid system has the two electric motors positioned as follows: one on the front axle, integrated into the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a second mounted on the rear axle that provides traction without physical connection between the two axles. This configuration allows optimal torque distribution and ensures excellent traction in all driving conditions. The rear engine is equipped with a gearbox that multiplies torque up to 1900 Nm to the rear wheels, ensuring maximum traction and stability. This ensures not only high performance, but also a comfortable and safe driving experience in all situations, making the Junior Hybrid Q4 ideal for tackling even the most difficult roads and adverse weather conditions. So, designed to offer a safe, high-performance drive in any condition, the new version is perfect for a diverse clientele: from winter and summer sports enthusiasts to all-wheel drive loyalists. Alfa Romeo’s DNA selector allows the driver to adapt the vehicle’s performance to different driving needs: the “Dynamic” mode offers a sporty driving experience with maximum power, while the “Natural” mode is ideal for everyday use. “Q4” mode is designed for low-grip conditions, ensuring maximum safety and control at all times. In addition, the “Advanced Efficiency” mode optimizes fuel consumption and offers a smooth ride, perfect for maximizing energy efficiency. Not to mention that the Junior Hybrid Q4 is equipped with MultiLink independent rear suspension, designed to ensure maximum comfort during daily driving and improve traction in all road conditions. This advanced suspension system allows it to better absorb uneven ground, providing superior comfort for all occupants and excellent handling. The Q4 system automatically activates according to road grip conditions and gradient, ensuring that all-wheel drive is always available thanks to Power Looping Technology, which allows the car to maintain all-wheel drive even with low battery charge.
In terms of aesthetics, the new reinterpretation of the “Legend” badge, Full LED headlights and 18″ “Petals” alloy wheels stand out on the Junior Ibrida Q4. The interior is embellished with exclusive contents such as a leather steering wheel, heated Spiga seats in vinyl and fabric (electric driver’s seat adjustment with massage and 6-way manual for the passenger seat), 10.25″ infotainment system with navigation, audio system with 6 speakers and aluminum pedals and door thresholds.
