ISLAMABAD (PAKISTAN) (ITALPRESS) – There are at least 24 victims and more than 80 wounded as a result of the explosion in a Shiite mosque in Pakistani capital Islamabad. The Al Jazeera issuer reports it by citing local authorities. The explosion occurred in the Khadija Tul Kubra mosque, in the Tarlai Kalan area, in the southeast of Islamabad, during the Friday prayer.
Islamabad police spokesman Taqi Jawad said that the cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. In November of last year, a suicide bomber had exploded at the entrance of the district justice complex of Islamabad, killing 12 people and ferendone dozens.
