PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – At the first aid of Villa Sofia, in Palermo, long queues with long waits for patients. The president of the Sicilian Region Renato Schifani has therefore decided to call with urgency the general manager of the hospital company “Villa Sofia-Cervello”, Alessandro Mazzara (in the photo).
According to how he learned the Italpress from sources of Palazzo d’Orleans, the governor made a strong appeal to the manager after hearing of the inconvenience for the user. Schifani would have asked Mazzara a report on the current situation and the reasons that led to these issues.
Moreover the president of the Region would have reserved the start of inspections, if necessary.
Schifani’s decision could be the beginning of a series of checks on health managers’ activities, starting with emergency controls. Even the Palermo Polyclinic would have emerged long waiting times.
