So to “Dritto e Rovescio” Francesco Petruzzi, lawyer of the two-year-old family admitted to the Monaldi hospital in Naples after a heart transplant failed. “It is not euthanasia, but a procedure that serves to avoid the therapeutic occurrence, because unfortunately there is no hope,” added the lawyer.
The Shared Care Planning (PCC) is a tool provided for in Article 5 of Law 219/2017 (Informed Consent and Early Treatment Rules) that allows a person, in collaboration with his physician, to define the care and health treatments he wishes to receive or refuse if, in the future, he was in a state of inability to self-determinate.
