Paolo Grandi appointed president of Fideuram – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – The Fideuram Meeting – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking – with the single vote of Intesa Sanpaolo Spa – has deliberated the appointment of Paolo Maria Vittorio Grandi, Councillor of Intesa Sanpaolo, Chairman of the Governance Committee and member of the Appointment Committee, Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fideuram – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking.

Paolo Maria Vittorio Grandi (Milan 1954), graduated with degrees in Political Science at the Catholic University of Milan, attended specialization courses at the ICMB (International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies) in Geneva.
He began his professional career at the headquarters of Credito Italiano, taking care of the analysis of the trend of the industrial sectors as well as the design and realization of an analysis model of the economic cycle in support of the credit concession process. Since 1982 in Mediocredito Lombardo, he has worked on the development of the strategic marketing function for the Director-General and the management of the extraordinary operations that affected the bank until the transformation into a credit institution.

Since 1990 he has created and developed the presence of the Cariplo Group in the area of merchant Banking with the responsibility of investment activities (private equity), acquisition finance and advisory (corporate finance). Since December 2000, in Banca Intesa, he has been Co-Responsible for Private Equity Management. In June 2002, he took the position, at the direct re-port of the Chief Executive Officer, as Head of the Banca Intesa Group Participations Manager, with the direct responsibility of the Group’s Mergers and Acquisitions. From January 2007 to 2013 he was Head of the General Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of Intesa Sanpaolo at the President’s direct address, Prof. Giovanni Bazoli.

From 2013 to 2024, as Chief Governance Officer, he supported the M&A Directions and Group, Legal and Litigation Participations – Group General Counsel, Social Organs and Corporate Affairs, Art, Culture and Historical Heritage. In 2020, he led the working group that successfully launched and managed the offer for UBI Banca. From 2 April 2024 to 28 April 2025 he was Senior Advisor of the Group CEO for the management of relations with the ECB, the Board of Directors and institutional shareholders. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management, European Institute of Oncology, CAMFIN, CENTAI Institute.
