Paralympics, Chiara Mazzel silver in the giant vision impaired

CORTINA (ITALPRESS) – Chiara Mazzel is a silver medal in the slalom giant women vision impaired at the Paralympics of Milan Cortina 2026. Fourth consecutive medal for blue, this time with Fabrizio Casal as a guide. Golden medal for Veronika Aigner, with the time of 2’18′′63, third the Austrian Elina Stary, at 6′′67. Nothing to do for Martina Vozza, slipped in the first part of the track during the second heat (in the first had closed in sixth position).

“It’s really magnificent and spectacular, today I competed with my always guide, it still has an extra value. Aigner was almost unreachable, but in this heat we managed to ski well on the steep, my guide gave me the charge to push on the piece on the floor. Fifth medal? The slalom will be difficult, point to the bronze, but it is not an obvious thing”. Chiara Mazzel, silver in the giant women vision impaired at the Paralympics of Milan Cortina 2026.

“I must say that I did not feel the responsibility – added Fabrizio Casal -, I am very grateful and have brought the maximum. I’m really happy with everything. In slalom we will give everything.”.
