Paris third in the free Saslong, wins Odermatt

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Four Italians in the top 10 and six in the top 15 of the first men’s descent of Val Gardena, valid for the Alpine Ski World Cup. To win on the Saslong is the Swiss Marco Odermatt, while the blue veteran Dominik Paris is given the third place and the first seasonal podium in the Cup at the end of a postponed and suspended race several times for the fog.

In the short-term recovery of one of the two undisputed races in Beaver Creek, the Helvetic, leader of the general classification, also wins the second free of the season and does it with the time of 1’24′′48, preceding the compatriot Franjo Von Allmen (+0′′15) and Paris (+0′′19). Smile for the other blue Florian Schieder (6°, +0′′57), Mattia Casse (7°, +0′′67) and Giovanni Franzoni (8°, +0′′74). Well also Christof Innerhofer, 41 years yesterday, (11°, +0′′91) and Benjamin Jacques Alliod (14°, +0′′94).

Two ugly falls in the final beats of the race, recovery of the one not played at Beaver Creek: they fly away first Nicolò Molteni and then Fredrik Moeller. The Italian does not charge problems; while the helicopter is served to rescue the Norwegian.
