ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The conference “Strength & Conditioning for Women” was held in the Magna Hall of the Olympic Preparation Centre Coni “Giulio Onesti” (Giulio Onesti), promoted by the Fipe Strength Academy and dedicated to physical preparation for women. An event that has combined technical-scientific content and cultural vision, focusing gender equality, skills and professional updating.
With more than 200 technicians enrolled in the presence and direct streaming on YouPowerTV, the initiative has confirmed the growth of the Fipe Strength Academy and a quality-oriented training proposal, able to address with scientific approach central themes such as equal access of women to sport. Speaking at the event, President Fipe Alberto Miglietta said: “We are happy. This is the result of the efforts we are making to change the cultural of our Federation by guaranteeing a high level educational offer. We are also excited about membership that has gone beyond our best expectations.”.
President Coni Luciano Buonfiglio highlighted: “The training made in Fipe is a model to imitate and support the different sports activities in obtaining high-level sports results. I am here for a movement that in these years has become a reference point of Italian sport”.
Giovanni Malagò, president of Fondazione Milano-Cortina 2026, added: “Today it is necessary to make an additional effort in the technical field in the Training to use to better those that are the potential and physiological capabilities of the female genre. We won cultural battles in the weights. The Fipe has always been a Federation that has taken time.” The day offered an operational comparison on the methodology and programming of training in women.
Among the speakers, Brad Schoenfeld treated the manipulation of resistance training variables in relation to hypertrophy and prescription differences; Antonio Urso the correlation between cognitive functions, movement and expression of force; Matteo Earrings the optimization of training cycles in female Olympic weights.
Elena Cuccia has deepened the theme of resistance training and hypertrophy between physiology and method, while Aristide Guerriero concluded the conference presenting a case study on the performance in women’s rugby sevens.
To moderate the Convention were Antonio La Torre (national tt Fidal) and the general secretary of Fipe Francesco Bon meeting.
