MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Pfizer confirms its UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification for the second year in a row, having successfully passed the annual surveillance audit on the maintenance of the Certification: “an acknowledgement that testifies to the company’s ability to have taken concrete measures over the years to foster an equal opportunity work environment,” a note explains. The recognition, obtained through the audit activities of RINA-one of the leading certification companies, active in more than 70 countries-is further confirmation of the pharmaceutical company’s choices, which are increasingly characterized by equity and inclusion, aimed at fostering corporate welfare, and marked by the spread of a culture of respect and non-discrimination in society. The confirmation of the certification according to the UNI/PdR 125:2022 reference practice “is the result of a series of activities that involved the main business processes related to the employees’ path in the company and a careful process of audits, both internal and external, aimed at verifying the correct and complete application of the requirements of the standard,” highlights Pfizer. In 2024, as part of the plan under the certification process, the company implemented several initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and combating harassment in the workplace. These include a mandatory course for all employees entitled #Tolerancezero to harassment: together in the company with respect, on countering harassment and for a culture of respect. On November 26, on the occasion of the International Day Against Violence Against Women, the #StandWithHer campaign was launched, an event aimed at raising awareness among employees on the issue of gender-based violence, a dramatic reality that needs to be addressed every day, not just on November 25. During the #StandWithHer campaign, a white bow pinned on the clothes of our male colleagues became a shared symbol against violence and discrimination. All male and female colleagues were also invited to a meeting with Claudio Nader of the Men’s Observatory, a community that promotes a new perspective of men on gender issues. With more than 60 percent of the workforce in the commercial subsidiary composed of women, many of whom hold top management positions, Pfizer demonstrates its commitment to fostering a work environment that is fair, inclusive and respectful of all gender diversity, essential pillars for contributing to the global Equal Opportunity goals in the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) arena.
