Picchi “Bando sistemi sport Lombardia da record, il 13 maggio giovane a San Siro”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Lombardy is an excellence from the point of view of the sports complex, with more than 13,000 plants ( 20% of the total national), more than 41,000 areas for sports spaces (30% of the total national), but also characterized by a certain vettustà of the plants, with an average age of 42 years. Situation that has pushed the Region, also on the Olympic wave, to realize a call for sports facilities of 100 million euros. “It was the call for the largest sports equipment ever made by the Lombardy Region and had extraordinary results because it created an important added value because from every euro made available by Region, we generate a multiplier of 3” value plants”. This was said by the undersecretary of Sport and Youth of Regione Lombardia, Federica Picchi, who interviewed by the Italpress Press Agency added: “I am also pleased that 90% of the funding provided by the call was won by municipalities under 15,000. So we were able to arrive even in the smallest and homogeneous municipalities.” The great organizational and sports success of the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, has pushed Regione Lombardia to take advantage of this experience, running to host new international sporting events. “We are working on Master Games Como Lake – confirms Picchi -, we will organize together with the three municipalities that overlook the Lario, Como, Varese and Lecco, the Master Games. We expect a great feedback in both sport and tourism.” Dedicated to young people, on the other hand, a big event scheduled on May 13 in San Siro, to which will participate all the Federations Sportive and in which it will aim to give evidence of value to young people (they will be between 5000 and 7000), including that of Fr Maurizio Patriciello. “I believe that our boys today, especially with all these social media, are bombed and are very confused – the undersecretary commented –. When you can give them real, concrete testimonies and then somehow make them try directly on their skin of direct experiences, the beauty of a sport, a discipline, the testimony of a champion, can make a difference. And so on this day of May 13 in San Siro, we have joined all the sports federations because I believe that another important aspect is to make children understand that there are not only the most popular sports, which in reality can give to the best some talents. So the first goal is to get boys to meet all the sports disciplines possible. The second goal is to give him valuable testimonies, with athletes, rather than with people who have real stories to tell, such as Don Maurizio Patriciello. Stories of protagonism, stories also of overcoming obstacles, because the boys of today unfortunately at the first obstacle are demoralized, but the obstacle, the limit, the contrariety is part of everyday life. So the teaching we would like to give with this day is to face the happenings of life with a proactive spirit, that is, trying to respond also to negative things by turning them into positive or more positive messages possible.” “I would like to make the day of May 13 ever more widespread, with all Lombard schools. Why not, a national day of all the young Italians who gather, meet in our Milan, in our regional capital and somehow benefit from valuable testimonies,” says Federica Picchi. “I make an appeal to those who listen to us – concludes Picchi –, do not be afraid of institutions. My office is always open to everyone because I believe that the institution to be operational needs to know its territory. I can’t always go to all the provinces for more days, but I’ll ask you if you have any coif they don’t go, things you want to improve, don’t be shy, make yourself feel, because the best thing is to understand together that everything can be structured, because every tool is like a dress, we are the tailors, you have to tailor it according to the needs of those who wear it and who wear it is our territory, so the budget we have that is, but if we use it at best with more efficiency is better”.
