Pnrr, Foti “Possible reprogramming on unsatisfactory measures”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Not only is this a serious government, not only is this a capable government, but this is a government that is responsible and assumes all responsibilities, including that of being able to provide — and it will be brought to Parliament when the need actually arises — a reprogramming of the NRP on some measures that have not yielded the satisfactory outcome or that we expected. But precisely because we want to use the resources, and not throw them away, we are also prepared for reprogramming.” Thus Minister of European Affairs, Cohesion Policies and the NRP, Tommaso Foti, speaking in the House at the end of the discussion of motions on the NRP. “This plan also stands on 270,406 projects. Well, of these 270,406 projects, 164,566, or 60.86 percent, have been completed and already closed. As for the value of the amount, it is 46.43 billion which, out of 141.740 billion, how much the basket of all interventions is composed, is 33,” he explained.

“Now, it doesn’t seem to me that having completed 60 percent — between completed and in the process of completion 60.86 percent — of the projects, should be taken as a negative figure: first, because it is insulting to all the administrations that have already taken steps to finish those projects; second, because it is clear that, as far as value is concerned, the projects that have less economic impact are finished first, and the ones that follow are the ones that have greater economic impact,” Foti concluded.
