Cremonese colpita da un Napoli aggressivo e costantemente presente in fase offensiva, con conclusioni dalla distanza che spaventano Audero. Al 38′ è ancora pericoloso McTominay, che taglia tutto il campo e calcia dal limite dell’area, pallone di poco fuori. I partenopei chiudono in crescendo la prima frazione, siglando il secondo e terzo gol della serata: al 45′ l’iniziativa di Hojlund lo porta al tiro che, deviato in maniera decisiva da Terracciano, finisce alle spalle di Audero. Passano altri tre minuti e arriva il 3-0: Maleh gestisce male un pallone a ridosso della propria area piccola perdendolo a beneficio di De Bruyne che va a segno.
Dopo l’intervallo Giampaolo prova a scuotere i suoi con tre cambi che però non cambiano lo spartito dell’incontro, con il Napoli che trova anche il quarto gol. Ripartenza guidata da Alisson Santos, che si crea spazio per calciare con il destro che risulta letale per Audero. Gestione e sostituzioni per Conte, che dà spazio a Beukema, Mazzocchi, Giovane e Gilmour. Al 79′ Napoli vicino al 5-0 su corner, con Rrahmani che stacca di testa e colpisce la traversa. All’82’ il Napoli ha una nuova occasione, con il tocco di mano di Grassi nella sua area che vale il rigore per i partenopei. Dal dischetto va McTominay, ma lo scozzese calcia male e Audero gli nega la doppietta. Napoli comunque in controllo e gara che va in archivio. Altra sconfitta per la Cremonese, la cui rincorsa alla salvezza si fa sempre più complicata.
