Pope Francis “We tend to talk a lot but listen little”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Rivers of words and images without ever really meeting.” Pope Francis regrets this at First Vespers on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, coinciding with the World Day of Consecrated Life, in St. Peter’s Basilica. The Holy Father speaks of a relationship of gift and response that is as necessary as ever in today’s spaces, “in which there is a tendency to talk a lot but listen little,” whether in the family sphere, at work, reaching social spaces. To defeat loneliness Pope Francis calls for concrete listening, in which saying and hearing are followed by concrete action.
