Pope in stable condition and sends audio message “Thank you for the prayers”

VATICAN CITY (ITALPRESS) – “The Holy Father’s clinical condition remained stable compared to previous days. Even today he did not present episodes of respiratory insufficiency.” This was announced by the Vatican Press Office in its bulletin on the condition of Pope Francis, who has been hospitalized since Feb. 14 at Gemelli Hospital.

“The Holy Father continued respiratory and motor physiotherapy with benefit. Hemodynamic parameters and blood tests remained stable,” the bulletin continued.
He did not present a fever. Doctors still maintain a reserved prognosis. In view of the stability of the clinical picture, the next medical bulletin will be issued on Saturday. Today the Holy Father devoted himself to some work activities during the morning and afternoon, alternating between rest and prayer. Before lunch he received the Eucharist.”

In the evening, on the occasion of the recitation of the rosary, the daily appointment in which prayers are said for the Pontiff’s health, an audio message from Pope Francis was broadcast: “I thank you wholeheartedly for your prayers for my health from the Square. I accompany you from here. May God bless you and may the Blessed Virgin keep you, thank you.”
