May God grant all responsible wisdom and perseverance to advance in the search for a just and lasting peace.” Pope Leo XIV said this at the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square.
“The news coming from Myanmar is unfortunately painful: report of continuous armed clashes and air bombings also on people and civil infrastructure. They are close to those who suffer because of violence, insecurity and many inconveniences. I renew my heartfelt appeal for immediate and effective ceasefire,” the Pontiff added.
