ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Let us pray for Mozambique that what is happening will not make people lose faith in democracy, justice and peace, opening to dialogue.” So said Pope Francis during the Sunday Angelus in St. Peter’s Square referring to the unrest with dozens of deaths after the elections. “And let us not forget the martyred Ukraine, where hospitals and other civilian buildings were also hit,” added the Holy Father, who also urged people to pray for Palestine, Israel Lebanon. Let us pray for peace throughout the world.” Pope Francis also recalled that “three years ago the platform of the action Laudato sì was being launched. I thank those who work in favor of this initiative, and in this regard I hope that the Cop29 Climate Change Conference, which begins tomorrow in Baku, will make an effective contribution to the protection of our common home.”
