Pringles and Movember together again in men’s health month

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – To mark the month of November, which is dedicated to men’s health, Pringles is renewing its partnership with Movember, the global charity committed to men’s well-being. Through this collaboration, now in its second year in Italy, the brand aims to raise awareness on issues related to men’s mental and physical health, offering useful tips and resources to address transparent conversations on the topic.According to some research investigating the well-being of the new generations, in recent years the mental health index of young men between 14 and 34 years old in Italy has recorded a worrying decline and, in particular, the rate of satisfaction with their lives is lower among boys than among their female peers. An alarming finding emerges: 75% of young Italians report feeling pressured by social expectations, directly affecting their state of mind. It is therefore not surprising that 40 percent have sought psychological support or emotional support from family and friends (30 percent), highlighting an urgent need to address these issues, which are often considered taboo.Embracing the mission of Movember, Pringles is helping to raise public awareness by providing tips and interactive tools to promote open dialogues about emotional and physical well-being. Throughout the month of November, Pringles invites its consumers to join the Movember movement with simple challenges to test themselves with. At the beginning of the month, men are encouraged to shave their beards and mustaches completely and then let only the latter grow, creating with the look change an opportunity to start meaningful conversations about mental health and breaking the silence that often surrounds psychological well-being.Mr. P, the iconic face of Pringles, is also participating in the challenge. In the information materials of participating outlets of the Agora Network, Aspiag Service and Selex trade groups, Mr. P sports a new look and is shown to the public without his famous mustache, now replaced by a QR code. By scanning the code, consumers can explore an information section on the official Movember website and experience the interactive conversation tool to learn how to recognize those who are going through a difficult time and offer support, thus helping to create a network of emotional and social support, in line with young people’s growing need to find comfort in friends, family and professionals. “Our partnership with Pringles aims to create a network that allows us to feel more connected. Talking about mental health and caring for our loved ones is among the most important things we can do,” commented Anne-Cecile Berthier, Country Director of Movember UK. “Recognizing when someone is facing difficulties is not always easy, so we are working together to find new ways that encourage people to open up and share the burden of their emotions. “Adopting an active lifestyle and regular physical activity are closely related to mental and physical well-being . In recent years, the percentage of people who do not practice any kind of sports activity in Italy has increased by almost 2 points, with a worsening of the sedentary index that especially affects the youngest segments of the population, between the ages of 18 and 24.The partnership between Pringles and Movember aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity as an integral part of one’s emotional well-being.With the “Move for Movember” challenge, all consumers are invited to run or walk 60 kilometers, thus helping to raise funds for the cause.”Pringles has always believed in the power of sociability, and we are thrilled to partner with Movember for the past five years in Europe to demonstrate the importance of social and emotional networking when addressing conversations about such relevant issues as mental health,” said Piera Regina, Communication & ESG Lead Italy at Kellanova. “With this partnership, we want to help build a more inclusive and aware community where everyone can feel welcomed, understood and free to ask for and offer help. “For more information you can visit the Movember website.
