NEW YORK (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – In the heart of Manhattan, in the Palace of the New York Times designed by Renzo Piano, the Puglia Region has brought to New York its strategy for an increasingly targeted and quality tourism, focusing on a growing sector: the “wedding travel”, i.e. the trips organized to marry in Italy transforming the wedding into a complete experience. With the collaboration of ENIT and the New York Times, PugliaPromozione organized a workshop that brought together American operators and tourist agencies interested in building customized packages, from iconic places to local services, to logistics for guests. After the presentation of Puglia as a wedding destination, the day continued with B2B sessions and direct meetings between buyers and Apulian realities, as well as a light lunch “pugliese” curated by the Apulian restaurant La Terra di Manhattan designed to make taste the gastronomic identity of the territory.

On the edge of the event they spoke to Italpress Caterina Orlando of ENIT-USA and, for PugliaPromotion, Francesco Muciaccia and Ottavia Grassi, who explained objectives and tools of the program: attract couples and investments, seasonalize flows and value the entire supply chain of regional hospitality, also taking advantage of the new directs from New York and Newark to Bari.
