MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Milan forgets the Supercoppa and returns to success under the eyes of the new Niclas Fullkrug purchase. The boys of Massimiliano Allegri are over 3–0 in the match of Meazza valevole for the 17th day of Serie A 2025/2026: they decide the network of Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku.
The two teams choose a very cautious approach, so that in the first 15′ the rhythms of the race are quite low. The host training tries to take the initiative, but at 20′ are the Rossoneri to create the first opportunity with a conclusion of Pulisic, which is deviated in corner football. At 28′ Rabiot draws a perfect cross for Nkunku, which however lacks the impact with the ball at the decisive moment. The Hellas Verona tries to react by letting itself be seen from the parts of Maignan to 35′ with a conclusion of Niasse, but it turns out on the bottom. When the first time seems to start towards the conclusion, Christian Pulisic is thinking about it and taking advantage of Milan: on the development of a corner the American exploits the sped of Rabiot and piers Montipò with a powerful shot under the cross. We are therefore going to rest on part 1-0.
In the opening of resumption the hosts immediately conquer a penalty kick for Nelsson’s foul on Nkunku: on the disk shows itself the French, which smoothes Montipò and realizes its first goal in Serie A. Former Chelsea, galvanized by the goal, at 53′ he signed his own 3-0 doubles: After the shooting of Modric rejected by the opponent goalkeeper, Nkunku signs the tap-in to empty door. The staircases accuse the blow and risk the tracollo, since in a few minutes De Winter goes near poker in two fringents. At 62′ a Nkunku trigger serves Loftus-Cheek, which kicks strong on the first pole finding the prompt response of Montipò. After a turn of replacements, the rhythms of the race are considerably lowered, with Milan trying to administer the wide advantage. A few minutes from the 90′′ Orban shortens the distances in the mix, but its marking is canceled for a previous foul committed on Maignan.
At the end of the 3′′ recovery comes the triple whistle of Fabbri, which sanctions the return to the success of the reddeners; yellowish ko after the two victories in a row with Atalanta and Fiorentina. By virtue of this success Milan climbs to 35 points and temporarily overrides Inter at the top of the ranking, while Hellas Verona remains at 12. The meneghina team will return to the field on Friday 2 January at 20:45 to face Cagliari at Unipol Domus; the Venetians, instead, will host the Turin to the Bentegodi Sunday 4 January at 18.
