Radio host and music critic Massimo Cotto has died

Radio host and music critic Massimo Cotto has died. His wife Chiara Buratti announced it on Instagram. Cotto was born in Asti on 20 May 1962, he began his career in a private radio station and then moved to Radio Rai where, over time, he presented many events and programs (seven editions of Stereonotte, for example). From 1999 to 2003 he was head of music at Rai Radio 1. Subsequently he worked at Radio 24 and, since 2012, he worked at Virgin Radio.

Cotto has also worked as an author and presenter for television and theatre, especially on things related to music, and as a journalist. He had been writing since 1984 for the historic Italian magazine The Wild Bunch, for various Italian and international newspapers and magazines. Cotto has published several books: biographies of Italian singers or monographic books of interviews with entertainment and cultural figures.
