Rally, Basso and Fiorio among the winners of the “Honor Club” awards for the 2025 season

VICENZA (ITALPRESS) – Giandomenico Basso (pilots), Mariapaola Fiorio (female pilots), Matteo Fontana (Under 25), Lorenzo Granai (navigator), Valentina Pasini (female navigators), the Movisport stable, the Delta Rally and Motorsport Italia team as an organizer for the Rally Roma Capitale are the winners of the “Honor Club” awards for the season 2025 Italian readers.

The awards were awarded last night at the Racing Meeting in Vicenza during a ceremony that ended the first of the two days on which the event is organized by the former champion of the world rally Miki Biasion.

In addition to the readers’ prizes for the eight categories, the magazine staff wanted to award four special awards that went to Lancia Corse HF for the return to competitions; to the career for the drivers Tony Fassina and Gigi “Lucky” Battistoli, protagonists of the years ’70 and ’80 and still in activity; and the Rally Dreamer TV program for the original formula and conduction. On more than 2,000 votes cast online between 23 January and 6 February, the highest percentage of preferences was obtained by Matteo Fontana, who prevailed in his category with 45.3%, preceding Roberto Daprà (18.7%) and Giovanni Trentin (15.9%).

In the field reserved to the pilots, affirmation for Giandomenico Basso, able to collect 38.4% of the consents, in front of Andrea Crugnola (33.7%) and Gianandrea Pisani (7.7%). Among the navigators, the largest number of preferences went to Valentina Pasini with 37.0%, followed by Fabrizia Pons (28.9%) and Tania Canton (19.3%). P

er regarding the female category, success of Maria Paola Fiorio, who obtained 29.5%, exceeding Rachele Somaschini (26.2%) and Tamara Molinaro (25.6%). In the preparatory graduation, Movisport recorded the highest percentage with 39.2% in front of New Turbomark (20.7%) and EASI (6.5%). Among the structures, a clear statement for Delta Rally, which raised 41.9% of preferences, preceding Erreffe (17.1%) and FPF (13.4%). For the category linked to the organizers, the most consensus went to the Rally Roma Capitale with 34.1%, followed by the Rally Italia Sardinia (22.8%) and the Rally Regione Piemonte (19.9%). Finally, among the navigators, success for Lorenzo Granai, who obtained 32.3% of the votes, in front of Alessandro Arnaboldi (26.0%) and Simone Scattolin (19.9%). The Honor Club – set up by ItaliaRALLY – aims to reconstruct the hall of rallies’ hunger in Italy.
