Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric reports the electric in segment A

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric marks a strategic return in segment A, that of compact city cars, increasingly impoverished in recent years not for lack of demand, but for the difficulties of manufacturers in combining affordable prices, stringent regulations and increasing technological expectations. With this new model, Renault tries to overturn the paradigm, proposing an electric car that really aims to democratize zero-emission mobility. The project stands out first of all for a clear objective: offering an electric car under 20,000 euros, without sacrificing content and quality. The Twingo E-Tech Electric is designed for urban and daily use, but with characteristics that can satisfy even light extra-urban needs. The range up to 263 kilometers in the WLTP cycle and the consumption contained in about 13 kWh/100 km make it a concrete proposal for those seeking an alternative to traditional thermal cities. From a technical point of view, the choice of a LFP battery (litio-ferro-phosphate) is an important step: less dependence on critical materials, greater durability and more contained costs. This is accompanied by a 60 kW engine, enough to guarantee agility and brilliance in city traffic, also thanks to the weight contained around 1,200 kg.No strong reference to the historical DNA of the Twingo. The design remains recognizable and playful, while the cabin focuses on modularity and practicality: five doors, separate rear seats and sliding and smart solutions that expand versatility, a key element for the urban public. At the same time, the technological equipment makes a leap with the OpenR Link system with Google integrated and assistance devices typical of higher segments. Another distinctive element is the development process: completed in just two years thanks to an international collaboration between Europe and China, it represents a step change for Renault in terms of speed and cost optimization. However, production remains European, in the Slovenian factory of Novo Mesto, guaranteeing quality and with a shorter and sustainable supply chain. With the new Twingo E-Tech Electric, Renault is not limited to introducing a new model, but relaunches an entire category, proposing a more accessible, efficient and realistic vision of urban electric mobility.
