ROMA (ITALPRESS) – This morning in Rome, at the Società Ippica Romana-La Farnesina, the first presentation of the book “The master of victory. Graziano Mancinelli, a story of a champion”, written by Umberto Martuscelli and published by Rubbettino. The meeting, organized in the context of the celebrations for the centenary of the Italian Federation of Equestrian Sports (Fise), saw the participation of lovers of horse riding, sports and personalities of the equestrian world.
The volume tells the life and the enterprises of Graziano Mancinelli, one of the greatest Italian knights and protagonist of the Knights of the Blues, woven the sporting career with the personal dimension of man. “Graziano Mancinelli embodied the spirit of our sport: talent, courage and determination. This book is a tribute to a champion who made history,” said Marco Di Paola, President Fise. Among the highlights of Mancinelli’s career, the individual gold medal of Salto Ostacoli at the 1972 Munich Olympics remains a symbol of his excellence.
As Vittorio Orlandi, president CR Lombardy, points out, “the story of Mancinelli is not only that of an athlete, but of a man who has been able to transform every obstacle into a victory. An example for all Italian knights.” “Scrivere di Graziano was an exciting journey: through his sports companies and his private life emerges an extraordinary man, able to teach so much about courage and determination,” adds Umberto Martuscelli, author of the book. The editorial path will continue on 28 April in Lombardy, at the Ippico Castellazzo Centre, with a second presentation at 11:00. It will be an unmissable opportunity to meet the author, discover new anecdotes on the life of the champion and celebrate the centenary of the Fise, which for a hundred years has promoted the Italian equestrian sport.
