ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The president of the Inail, Fabrizio D’Ascenzo, and the extraordinary commissioner of the Automobile Club of Italy, Tullio Del Sette, have signed today, in the presence of the general director of the Institute, Marcello Fiori, and the general secretary of the Aci, Annibale Ferrari, a three-year collaboration agreement for the promotion of road safety and education. The understanding consolidates a shared institutional path aimed at the dissemination of responsible and guiding behaviors.
“Awareness and prevention – says Inail President Fabrizio D’Ascenzo – are key tools to reduce road accidents and accidents. The experience we have gained in Lombardy with the project ‘Choose the road to safety’, the result of the fruitful synergy with Aci and Region, shows how fundamental it is to unite forces to effectively address the challenges posed by modern mobility and protect the health of those who study and work. With the agreement signed today we extend this model to the national level, with the aim of spreading a culture of road safety increasingly rooted and aware, especially among young people”.
“Security – says Extraordinary Commissioner Aci, General Tullio of the Seven – is a fundamental value, because it concerns the life, the safety and freedom of all users of mobility, in particular the younger ones – the category, statistically, more at risk – and those who move, every day, for work needs. There can be no security without a true culture of security, which can educate to the sense of responsibility, to themselves and others, to the respect of the rules, and teach to recognize and face the risks that you run on the road. For this reason, joining culture, experience and know-how of those who – like Aci and Inail – have long been involved in security, is an important step towards ever more conscious, responsible and secure mobility.”.
The agreement provides, in particular, the implementation of information campaigns, training activities and awareness-raising projects aimed both at workers who use the car for service reasons and to the students of the institutions of every order and degree, also in the field of school-work training and civic education activities. Inail and Aci are also committed to promoting the culture of safe and sustainable mobility, also through the use of innovative methods of experiential training, and to developing programs of study, research and training for the improvement of the safety of circulation, with the involvement of category associations, companies, mobility managers and educational institutions, also in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit and with local institutions and bodies.
Particular attention will be paid to the training of those responsible for the prevention and protection system (Rspp), to enrich the skills of the company management in road safety and the content of the risk assessment document (Dvr). The agreement also provides for the implementation of specific information actions to draw the attention of enterprises on the dangers connected with the use of motor vehicles for business reasons, the incentive of corporate welfare systems to reduce the risks related to driving and sharing of data, information and knowledge on road safety and incidentality, with particular attention to the impact on the higher risk working sectors.
In addition, awareness-raising activities on safe, accessible and sustainable mobility will be organised for the various categories of road users. To ensure effective and shared management of the initiatives, the areas of collaboration between the Aci and the Institute will be regulated through the stipulation of specific implementing agreements, even at a territorial level.
The tasks of address, programming and monitoring of the activities will be entrusted to a Joint Coordination Committee and to Territorial Committees, set up in the case of local implementing agreements, which will share the results achieved with the Coordination Committee.
