Robinson conquers the Super-G of St. Moritz, Goggia still third

ST. MORITZ (SVIZZERA) (ITALPRESS) – Second podium in two days for Sofia Goggia in Sankt Moritz, Switzerland, on the day of the company of Alice Robinson in the first female Super G of the Alpine Ski World Cup season. The time of 1’14′′84 gives the New Zealand giant the first victory of his career in the specialty, in front of the French Romane Miradoli second (+0′′08) and the blue outclass (+0′′′′19), who bissas the third place of yesterday downhill and finds the 64th podium in the World Cup (the ninth in St. Moritz).

Only fourth place for Lindsey Vonn (4°, +0′′27). Sixth position for Elena Curtoni (+0′′′53), in front of Laura Pirovano (8°, +0′′60). Emma Aicher fell, cool of success yesterday downhill. Scene output also for Mikaela Shiffrin, on the return to speed.

“I showed continuity and solidity. I was very afraid of Shiffrin. Coming down I felt I had a hallucinating margin, but if I am third with that margin it is a positive sign. I played a good test, I was smart on some points, then I could have pushed a little more.” He told Rai Sport Sofia Goggia. Another confidence injection after the third place of yesterday downhill: “These results, although they were not excellent, since I never won, give me so much trust. Today I was particularly quiet, at the start I had not many thoughts and I had the lines well in the head. I trusted my coaches and my feet, but I know I can push more on the curves,” added the blue.
